The After School Intervention Collaborative (ASIC) is a group of programs brought together by MMEP and supported by Travelers, formerly St. Paul Travelers. The collaboration was developed in response to a Travelers’ report on the programs in which they articulated a desire for greater relationship between sites for the purpose of increasing their capacity to serve students. Current Projects ASIC members are addressing evaluation in two areas: (1) as a tool for maintaining and improving programming to students, and (2) as a process accepted by grantors. We believe it is possible to have one tool serve both purposes. To that end, we have looked at several assessment programs, some of which have kinks below. This process is ongoing with input from programs, accreditation organizations, and funders.
